Mission

As far as we possibly can, LDS aims to create a fulfilling and supportive working life that is similar to that of individuals who don’t have a learning disability. Our ambition is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their unique challenges, has the opportunity to thrive in a professional environment that promotes inclusion and equality.

Our Ambition

Wise Words

We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about the progress and prosperity of our OKU community. Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of people with learning difficulties, for their sakes and their families. Cesan Chevez

LDS was formed with a single objective in mind, the objective being to improve the lives of people with a learning difficulty through the provision of paid work.

The Objective

Management

The society is managed entirely by unpaid volunteers, therefore 100% of the proceeds from sales and donations are utilized to pay our OKU staff and overheads.
